Description: Candidate will be the champion of quality in promoting customers’ perception our company products. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Electrical Group Leader - Power and Substations, you will be leading our team designing unique power generation projects, including combined heat and power, renewables, grid storage, and large district energy thermal generation systems and utility substations.  This position also works closely with our Transmission & Distribution Group.  We are looking for an experienced and energetic leader who enjoys guiding the technical and financial performance of the group and working in a team environment .

  SOME OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage technical direction and workload for our team of electrical engineers and designers located in multiple locations across the US by reviewing project technical requirements, holding weekly meetings, evaluating workloads, and approving timecards.
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals from clients and other company groups and offices.  Take lead responsibility for developing scope of work, labor effort, and cost for client provided RFPs.
  • Perform Quality Control and Quality Assurance tasks for large projects and assist project leads with unique situations and demands.

  • Knowledgeable of associated Codes and Standards, including the ANSI/IEEE, NESC, IBC, IECC, and the NEC.
  • Project Management, including Construction Administration activities such as management of submittal reviews, RFI responses, and Shop Drawing reviews.
  • Extensive understanding of electrical construction procedures and systems/materials used in constructing electrical systems and components.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills to support team coordination activities.
  • Conduct annual reviews for employees and implement performance improvement plans for employees performing below expectations.
  • Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
  • Mentorship to younger personnel.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Hiring Senior Commissioning CxA Engineer.  Boston Massachusetts.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide Commissioning and Construction Administrative including engineering and technical support on ongoing projects
  • Review designs and lead and direct onsite commissioning activities, including technical documentation and contractual requirements
  • Ensure all aspect of construction project are designed, installed, tested and maintained
  • Prepare and maintain commission records of site observations, testing processes and checklist
  • Assist with identification and addressing of commissioning and construction MEPFP system operational issues. Responsibilities include development of Commissioning Plans, specifications and finial Commissioning Report.
  • Track and review progress, compile reports
  • Maintain strong client relationships
  • Troubleshoot technical MEPFP related issues

  • Lead the Cx/CA team
  • The ability to manage a project from “Cradle to Grave”.
  • The ability to act as a liaison between Vanderweil Engineers (PIC, Project Manager and engineers), end client(owner) and contractor (including subcontractors)
