About the Position: As a Tax Manager, you will play a vital role in helping our clients avoid surprises and plan for a successful future. You will lead tax advisory and compliance services for a diverse portfolio of pass-through entities across industries such as Construction, Manufacturing, and Professional Services. This role is designed for a leader who possesses a strong sense of ownership, excels at technical research, and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of tax professionals. Key Responsibilities Tax Advisory & Compliance: Manage high-level tax consulting and compliance for pass-through entities across multiple industries (Construction, Retail, Manufacturing, etc.). Technical Research: Conduct sophisticated research on complex tax matters; provide written correspondence demonstrating a mastery of the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations. Client Relationship Management: Independently build and manage client relationships, including handling billing and collections and serving as a primary point of contact. Team Leadership: Manage, develop, and train professional tax staff; foster a collaborative environment through excellent supervisory and team-building skills. Firm Advocacy: Participate in internal committees focused on client development, staff growth, and firm operations to provide a "voice of direction" for RGCO. Engagement Management: Successfully oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining strict adherence to time management and quality standards. Community Representation: Represent RGCO within the professional and business community with a strong, positive attitude. Required Qualifications Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, with a heavy focus on technical tax consulting and research. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. Licensure: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license is strictly required. Soft Skills: Strong ownership mentality, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to professional integrity. Logistics: Ability to provide mostly on-site support at our downtown Tampa office (Hybrid flexibility available). Preferred Qualifications Advanced Education: Master’s degree in Taxation or an L.L.M.
