Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for performing highly skilled operation, repair, and maintenance of the plant and its associated equipment in a safe and efficient manner using their comprehensive understanding of system interdependencies and operations. Analyze system data, monitor, and manage system controls or Building Automation Control Systems to anticipate system needs, problem-solve, and adjust set points.
    • Operate, monitor, and maintain plant equipment such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, HVAC equipment, motors, pumps, VFDs, and all associated auxiliary equipment and controls.
    • Perform routine and emergency repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery, systems, and equipment. Manage all chemical treatment treatment/testing and monitoring associated with steam, cooling towers and chilled and hot water systems as applicable.
    • Ensure detailed preventative maintenance tasks are executed as scheduled and documented in the CMMS.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • State licenses are required by local region for HVAC, Universal Technician, or certified boiler operator license preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Estimator works independently and is responsible for maintaining good, healthy, professional client relationships, and providing leadership for continuously improving the process for estimating. This position analyses the estimates and identifies the anomalies and makes sure that their accuracies are verified. The Sr. Estimator will oversee the estimating function and activities related to the working of the estimating department. They will confer with the engineers, architects, subcontractors, contractors, vendors, etc., on the adjustments or changes that need to be made in the cost estimates and helps in determining the feasibility of the project. The Sr. Estimator is responsible to thoroughly research the previous data related to subcontracts and purchase orders, etc., compiles the relevant reports, and helps in the development of guidelines for future estimates.   • Oversee, guide and develop Estimators on the Team helping them to gain additional competencies to analyze, negotiate and prepare accurate bid submissions confidently.
  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors.
  • Organize and distribute all construction documents in a timely manner to subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers and negotiate pricing.  Must calculate and breakdown quotes.
  • Prepare all necessary project reports and always be prepared to present to management.
  • Responsible to keep clients and stakeholders well informed throughout the project.
  • Transition awarded projects to project management and accounting by creating budgets, conducting “turn over” meetings to other team members, identifying special project requirements, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Conduct comprehensive post bid subcontractor scope reviews and project buyout. Follows up on bids for updates on status.
