We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure utilizing knowledge in continuous integration, delivery, and deployment (CI/CD), Cloud technologies, Container Orchestration and Security. Build and test end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that systems are safe against security threats.
Responsibilities include:
Leverage Amazon Web Services to build scalable data infrastructure
Automate deployments and system tasks across multiple environments
Work with technologies such as Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Active Directory, Packer.
Design and build data services for consumption by clients and other services.
Here’s what you need:
Academic degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, etc)
8 years of experience in the IT field.
4 years of experience with deploying and maintaining IT automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Gitlab Runner, Jenkins, Nexus, etc)
4 years of Linux experience with RedHat, CentOS, Scientific Linux or similar Linux/Unix systems
4 years of experience with system administrative scripting. (Bash, Python, etc)
2 years of Kubernetes experience
2 years of experience in Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure
Bonus points if you have:
AWS experience, specifically with Step Functions, Route53, API Gateway, SNS/SQS
Interested in containerized workloads
Interested in scaling systems on AWS
Experience with deployment and configuration of monitoring systems (Nagios, Cacti, etc)
Experience implementing security best practices in production environments
Comfortable with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
Support mission-focused infrastructure to ensure performance and availability of system and environment.
Work directly with development team to ensure systems and deployed and monitored well
Willing to learn new technologies and share knowledge with the team
Identify areas of improvement and ways to continually improve the systems
